It doesn’t care if you agree with it on 99.9% of the issues. It will still hang you from a lamppost in Portland or Berkeley because of that 0.1%. If you doubt that, look at how many Communists survived Stalin and Mao. Or how Joe Lieberman went from the vice presidential nominee to a right-wing extremist because he believed that terrorism was a bad thing or how Joe Manchin is an honorary Republican because he does controversial things like vote to approve a president’s cabinet nominees. When the demos abandon their responsibilities the democracy devolves into an oligarchy. We've known this for 2000+ years.
Now, the mass of the citizenry seems to prefer enslaving paternalism to self-respect and individual responsibilities.
Democracy operating as a representative constitutional government is adequate as long as the representatives are properly vetted -- aye, there's the rub.
If the demos refuses to set and enforce the vetting standards we will
end up as SOL.

This was a very disturbing photo. It is hard to believe there are people in the world who would engage in such atrocities. I know there are. It's just that it is hard to observe it in this photo.

Most of these clowns gave up freedom for security never realizing that security is a nice word for slavery.
