I don’t find atheists or atheism all that interesting.

Most of it is just a pose from people who demand the right to say controversial things, but have nothing controversial to say.

They are meta-rebels. These are people who talk about being rebellious and subversive, but never dare color outside the lines. Entertainers are fond of this style of edginess as it safely allows them to flatter their audience’s own egotistic need to see themselves as an avant-garde. Every modern TV comic falls into this category. On Atheism | The Z Blog

Your Say

Only someone infatuated with imaginary super hero's could come up with such a thing.

Guess what?
I don't find atheists interesting either.
I just don't care.

If you want to believe or not believe in anything at all it is really none of my business nor does it pique my interest.

I'm living this life like it's the only one I'll ever own, and maybe it is, so I am wringing it out for everything it's worth, and for your own good I'll simply suggest you consider doing likewise, or not. I just don't care.

I find Dawkins to be worse than boring. He constantly tries for an argument, but cannot seem to find a rational thought.

Now, place the world's historical scholarship on Christianity at one end of a scale. Forget the rest. It is too small to consider. This comes as a surprise to atheists, who forward ignorance as an argument.

In his movie, "Expelled," Ben Stein schools Richard Dawkins like a sophomore. Dawkins cannot offer even a basic evolutionary argument, and blathers some shit about life came here piggybacked on some space object. Truly a glittering idiot, I hate to say.

Here we are on the quincentennial of the Reformation, in which man discovered his worth and his individuality. Never mind that! We're going to celebrate the printing press instead!

Boring? I've been called worse by better.

To paraphrase some asshole- "When the political winds change, I'll stand with the Christians and the Jews."

Ghostsniper, your stated view is almost a rough paraphrase of Matthew 7 verses 3 - 5, and quite Christian, even though there are Christians who do not quite understand nor practice what is suggested in those verses.

Though you are not interested in God, He is still interested in you, ya know. As for me, while I may be interested in your views regarding believers and God, I've nothing to offer you but the gospels, which you are free to reject, and so I knock the dust from my feet and work on prying the board from my own eyes.

Atheism, like other religions, is a matter of belief.

"I'm living this life like it's the only one I'll ever OWN"

Ghost,

Maybe if you show me the blueprints and bill of materials of how you constructed yourself I would believe you OWN your life. That goes for (accidental) Dawkins also.

But, here's some advice that's not mine.

"He who has found his life shall lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake shall find it". Jesus of Nazareth, Matt. 10:39

@Denny, you seem to have missed this line:

"If you want to believe or not believe in anything at all it is really none of my business nor does it pique my interest."

ghost,

"I don't care"

If it doesn't interest you and you "don't care", why are you always first in line and why do you make it your business with believer insulting comments on nearly all of Gerard's posts about spirituality or religion. There are more than just a few here that are deeply offended when you call their God of Grace an "imaginary super hero".

“The opposite of love is not hate, it’s indifference. The opposite of art is not ugliness, it’s indifference. The opposite of faith is not heresy, it’s indifference. And the opposite of life is not death, it’s indifference.” Elie Wiesel

The Lord knows the saved and the lost. He knows his ferals as well, and when calls them, they too come home.
