There are now three full generations of women (baby boomers, Gen X and now millennials)

who put a paycheck, a career, their politics, feminism, and their education ahead of their biological and heart-felt desires to have and raise a family.
They'll never admit it, but they're miserable and have wasted their entire lives. But at least the bad feminists made off $100,000 in tuition, Oprah is a billionaire, Jimmy Choo made a lot of money on shoes, corporate America got some cheap labor, the government got a lot of tax revenue, and the democrats/labour/socialist party got a lot of votes. What's only worse than the ruination of millions of women's lives is how they still claim to be independent minded when they were so obviously hoodwinked and screwed over by feminism. Your Say

Used to be a family could survive, and even thrive, on a single income.

Then women decided (or for many, were convinced) that they needed to enter the workforce. So you had more people chasing the same number of jobs, and of course salaries were depressed.

So then women *needed* (or convinced themselves they needed) to work outside the home. Which made it less likely those jobs would pay well (again, more jobseekers chasing a given number of jobs).

And we also decided (late 50s, early 60s) that having a man in the household would disqualify someone for relief/afdc/welfare.

So the old man left the picture (or was induced to move out).

And we got no-fault divorce (which made it less likely to stick it out through a rough period).

And voilà, although it took a few years, you have what we have today.
