Most studies show that 70 percent of divorces are instigated by the wife.

Maybe she got a lump of money after her father died and figured, “Why am I lying underneath this old boor every night?”
A large inheritance can skew the power dynamic. If her dead dad is providing for her more than the breadwinner, he tends to lose his authority. Besides, a woman’s libido crashes before a man’s, so being constantly hounded for intercourse when you don’t want it is going to lead to some animosity. When women are in their 30s and now 40s, they are getting harassed by kids all day. The last thing they want to do is answer to their husband’s demands when the house is finally quiet. After the kids move out, solitude becomes even more inviting. The temptation is there for a woman to ask that one last kid—the one her age—to move out, too. Ah, serenity at last. - - Divorce Your Wife

Plus ~85% of custodies and billions of net annual dollars as a gender group.

This craven "no-fault" family-wrecking political opportunism we call "the best interests of the child".

Microwave marriages. Quick to choose, quick to lose.

I guess I'm doing it wrong. Never did get a house. Was married 37 years to my first husband, going on three with this one. What I see, of the young women my stepson comes up with, are women of loose morals and no loyalty. But then the stepson has no loyalty to his dad. It will not turn out well for our society.

Worse here Teri, I did it backwards. Owned three houses but only married once. But then we've only been at it 62 years, so things could change.

Part of the blame for this rests on the pharmaceutical companies. When the ban on advertising drugs on TV as lifted, the floodgates were opened. There's a pill to "help" everything, especially depression. Not seeing a lot of well-adjusted,happy people in the general populace, despite the meds, women especially.
"Microwave marriages",that's good. Like microwave popcorn, handle with care,or it burns up quick and leaves a lingering, icky smell.
