Give Into Your Craving: It's National Grilled Cheese Day

Mine starts with a heaping tablespoon of 50/50 bacon fat and unsalted butter on a flat Cuisinart non-stick pan on the stove at medium temperature.
Aunt Millies whole wheat bread, Kroger deli american cheese (2 thick slices), some Hormel bacon crumbles, and just a hint of dried chives.
Spread a thin layer of Kraft mayo on both sides then PLOP right on the pan til golden brown then flipped.
Yes, you will achieve wood.
