Testicle Festival

American Legion's Testicle Festival urges you to 'come have a ball' | Rau said the Legion will start serving dinner around noon "until they run out of nuts." Beer and mixed drinks are $2 a pop and there is no cover charge. "You get baked beans, coleslaw and a roll with dinner, plus the nuts and the gizzards," Rau said. "They taste like chicken."

Your Say

Michigan's festival, sixteen years old now, is a relative newcomer -- Montana's "Testy-Fest" has been an annual event for thirty years.

I am for some reason reminded of the Scotsman who came to America and attended his first-ever baseball game. He was very vocal. When the first batter got a hit and sprinted for first base, Angus jumped to hios feet and yelled, "Run, laddie, run with pride!"

The second batter got a hit and again Angus yelled at home to run with pride. And the third batter, same result, same shout from Angus.

But the fourth batter did not get a hit. The first four pitches were wide or high and outside. After the fourth one, the batter pitched his bat toward the dugout, removed his shin guard, and began ambling off toward first base.

"No!" Angus, yelled. "Run laddie, run!Run! Run!"

The man next to him leaned over and told him, "He doesn't have to run. He's got four balls."

A look of dumbstruck awe came over Angus' face and with somewhat muted b=voice he called out, "Four balls! Walk with pride, laddie, walk with pride!"
