Your Say
$52 for a porterhouse, eh?
Doubtful I'd ever tie one of their feedbags on.
Buy one for $12 at Kroger and slam it on my own grill, and spend the rest on ammo.

Lamb kidneys? Yuck. I don't eat animal organs on purpose, although I was somewhat errant in eating hog brains and cow lungs a few times while in the Philippines.

Actually, the lamb kidneys with bacon is not only very tasty, but very affordable.

Just learned about that last night while watching an episode of the excellent "Bosch" cop drama.

Simple ingredients, done well, consistently. Hallmark of a good eatery. How many trendsetting FoodNetwork Look-At-Me-I'm-A-Chef restaurants has the L.A. area seen? Countless? I'm with you,Ghost,on the practical sane plane. But if the opportunity arose,I'd order the Bone-in Ribeye, rare. Any restaurant that can survive Batshitfornia deserves respect. Long may it live.

“Mr Leopold Bloom ate with relish the inner organs of beasts and fowls. He liked thick giblet soup, nutty gizzards, a stuffed roast heart, liverslices fried with crustcrumbs, fried hencods' roes. Most of all he liked grilled mutton kidneys which gave to his palate a fine tang of faintly scented urine.”
Don't be shy, People.

In the late 1970s I lived in the same general neighborhood as Musso & Frank's. Dining there was like going back in time, all the dark wood and stern waiters. Wonderful.

Ann K. Second season of Bosch is the best thing I've seen on TV in a very long time.

My wife and I ate there a couple years ago just before seeing Joe Bonamassa down the street at the Dolby Theater. Great meal and as noted, like a step back in time.
