When I’m ruler of these lands, the people responsible for embedded, autoplay video will be torn to pieces and fed to the dogs.

The Unreadable Web | The Z Blog
The truly monstrous thing done by web designers is embedded audio and video. By default, I now turn off my sound so I don’t have to hunt around looking for where the noise is coming from on the web page. I use a flash blocker to get rid of most of it, but some of it still slips past. That means YouTube does not work, so I have two browsers. One is for video and the other for daily browsing. When I’m ruler of these lands, the people responsible for embedded, autoplay video will be torn to pieces and fed to the dogs.

Your Say

I normally use Chrome and have about 8 diff blockers on it but some how that gd thing that wants my effen email address gets through everytime. Narcissistic assholes presume everybody wants to stay in touch with them. When that thing jumps up there I usually just close the tab and move on.

Sound?

My sound is NEVER on unless I'm specifically watching a (external) video or listening to a toon. Been that way since the 80's.

I have 3 dogs. I respect them and me,(I love them) too much to feed them anything I wouldn't eat myself.
I once tried some dogfood that my previous pair of dogs(American Water Spaniels) ate. That's when I decided my dogs would eat what I eat.
I won't feed on these knuckle-head's ideas, they must have some sort of disease.(Leftism) Why would I feed them to my dogs?
It's apparently a virulent mental disorder.
