If you occupied what was considered the ideological / moral centre ground in 1966,
and went to sleep for 50 years and woke up in 2016 you'd find yourself occupying the ideological /moral 'far right'.You didn't have to budge one inch ideologically to find yourself there. The whizzing sound you heard was the ideological / cultural centre ground zooming over to the Cultural Marxist hard left. Everything that was considered mainstream, obvious, common sense, logical and moral in 1966 is now considered by our political, academic and media elite to be bigoted, ignorant, hateful, xenophobic, racist, extremist and some form of moral abnormality. In other words, within the space of 50 years, morality, right, wrong, evil, good, normal, obvious, extreme, sanity, truth, beneficial, dangerous and the instinct for group preservation, has been inverted and stood upside down on its head. Never before in the entire course of human history has an entire culture, race and civilisation decided to hand over its lands, social capital, heritage and identities to competing and intruding alien cultures without a fight, and even worse, to evolve an ideology that morally justifies and glorifies it as proof of their moral supremacy.European man is in a civilisational death dance.What a difference fifty years makes.... | Boards[HT Happy Acres]

What you have here is the end result of a long, slow swan dive from the 100th floor of Testosterone Tower head first into the swirling estrogen filled moat that circles the entire structure.
The building was designed and built properly but the civil engineers took some shortcuts for kickbacks and therefore the drainage around the place was poorly implemented allowing all the effluent (swampage) to coalesce right up against the foundation causing the whole thing to rot from the outside in simultaneously with the inside out.
This has never been done before so a new way must be created to fix this calamity and the obvious solution is a quadruple skyhook on a scale never before attempted.
This skyhook has not been designed and tested yet though the specialists are hard at work presently with some preliminary sketches coming forth around 20 Jan 2017.
If all goes as planned at that point, around 100 days later we will see if the swamp has been drained around Testosterone Tower and restoration can move forward.
It's alleged that anonymous inside sources believe right wing nationalismists are behind this coordinated effort to further disadvantage persons of color, LGBTABCXYZ proponents, as well as islamists and many others on the backside of the forward curve.

I agree about what has happened; however, the author at Voat is perhaps unaware of much of Biblical history: This has all happened before, not just once but many times.
It was the biggest problem the Israelites struggled with - one generation would get things right for a while, then inevitably their offspring would get bored with decency and start thinking they should do what the neighbors were doing. Pretty soon orgies, perversion, infanticide, and worshipping false idols was the order of the day, until it came time to smite them back into sensibility.
They always had the option to turn things around and avoid the smiting; as a whole, they rarely seemed to choose it. God-willing, things will be better for a while, but given enough time all of this will happen again.
