Donald Trump is the only person in history to be elected president of the United States without having held a prominent public office or military command,

the only one to have paid for his own campaign for the nomination, the only one to have run successfully against the leadership and all the principal factions of both parties, the oldest and wealthiest person to be elected, and the first of a business background.... Trump is not a new broom sweeping clean; this was the big wolf blowing the house down into rubble and splinters and shards.Donald Trump -- Revolution | National Review

Your Say

Included with the losers who fought Mr. D. Trump was the National Review.

NR is just sore because Trump blew their* house down. The only one who escaped alive was Reince Priebus. *Their refers to the Repub est, Dem est and Clinton oligarchy - it was an apartment house.

It's big, alright.

What was all that shit about hands, now?

Say what you want about Mr Obama being the first black president, he in fact wore his jeans like a mom, and was every inch a politician. A politician of the Communist sort, don't forget. Old, tried and tired.

Trump is all new next gen. This is bigger than we now know.

"The only one who escaped alive was Reince Priebus."

That's because he played it straight. The RNC supported the process, prevented all of the vowed-for funny business at the convention, and fully supported the nominee. Surprisingly, that was the supposed actual job of the RNC - first, referee; then post-convention (primaries really) active booster.

Yes I know - it is amazing to see competency and attention to duty these days.

Don't despair, this current cabinet is Trump's first go 'round staffing the largest company ever created and he needed to get it up and running pronto.

Over the next year you will most likely witness "You're fired!" several times as Trump works out the bugs while draining that nasty ol' swamp.

He is a master at what he does and he is exactly what this rotten assed "gov't of crime" needed to keep it from being incinerated by Divisions of Patriots.

Make no mistake, that burn-off may still occur.
But if it does it won't be because the greatest effort in the total history of mankind wasn't made.

Trumppence!

Man what a gaudy picture of Trump! Standing on a red, white and blue M1A Abrahms, coming out of the ocean with fireworks, holding a high powered rifle!!! This could only be improved it painted on black velvet! I'd put it in my living room!

HUGE error in the NR piece.
LBJ was BY NO MEANS a "combat aviator" - he is supposed to have taken a ride in a B-17 that was supposedly taken under fire by Japanese fighters.
He had a boondoggle commission in the Naval Reserve and somehow wangled a trip out to the South Pacific.

I saw that comment about LBJ and wondered if it was true but didn't feel like looking it up.

Was Brian Williams on that B17 with him?

I hated LBJs presidency with purple passion, but he wore the uniform. Same with Bush I and II, although at extreme opposites of endeavor. Doesn't matter; you take what you're given, and you do what you're told.

I take pride in knowing that the presidential portfolio of military veterans is mostly populated by national guardsmen and their predecessor the militias. When regulars hear that they shit red blood.

Mr Trump will do fine, and I credit him with appreciating the military as much as any president in recent history. I'd say Obama hated the military, but the Clintons openly hated the military. There is a box seat in hell waiting for their sorry asses.

Nothing can replace President Reagan's fantastic support of the military, I hasten to say.

Who's the bubble-brain that put the extra stripes in the flag?

Trumps office was being the Czar of Keeping it Real. His bonafides were the financial scars he got when he malpaso-ed on the tight wire of to doing.

And yet, he will be a tremendous Commander-In-Chief. Just look at his appointment.

Hail to the Chief!

If Vern could only see this.
