A tick rides on the dog’s back for so long it eventually forgets who’s doing the walking.

You Paul Ryan, Ben Sasse, Rick Wilson, and John McCain are apparatchiks.
Stewards. Showmen and functionaries. You only have value in the party to the extent you have value to its voters. They don’t serve at your pleasure, and they don’t require your approval of their choices. That choice was made clearly and unequivocally by tens of millions of people who do the actual work in this country that pays for your prostitutes and pomposity. Contempt in Stone | The Kakistocracy

Your Say

Potentially the winning line:

"Trump may save us, maybe he already has."

Careful, Ghost, Trumpy loves money, too. The current and past administrations loved money and were useful because of it. IMO, Trump's love for money will be his undoing ... if he's not careful.

Trump makes the right mouth noises during an election year. If he loves money like the rest, which he does, how will he behave once elected?

IMO, he needs watching just as much as the rest of them.

If the time comes, then ...

That sentence was pulled from the article and I don't believe it is about Trump, but rather what Trump has helped reveal.

For forever it seems the dirt people have believed they are being run over without a voice of reason but now they know different. They know they aren't alone and they know how evil their enemy is.

Maybe Trump isn't the answer, but the problem still exists. The diff now is that the dirts know they are right. They may not have the mechanism to wrest back control of their lives right now, but regardless of how this coming election turns out pandora's box has been opened for all to see and no matter whom is soiling the oval rug the logical people will find a way. They always do.

Powerful machines keep running by the diligence of powerful and logical men, always and forever. Women keep children stay out of the way.

You can't look around at this world and all of it's made wonders and believe all of it was borne on the backs of children and feet draggers. Left to their own devices, as a Clintin occupancy will be, all of it will fail and soon.

Then and only then can the dirts sweep the place out and start over. This is the long way around the mountain but sometimes that's the best way, even if it hurts. Grown ups know this, children do not.

The long haul.

Trump is the Paladin for the pissed off voters. You'll have a hard time convincing me and the rest of the throng heading to the polls on 11/8 that Trump is motivated by money in the sense of those others lusting after power. He has his; he makes his differently and worked for it.

How does one bribe him, when he already has money, now the power, a real world position and a family.
Individuals who speak of him don't convey a sense of a person looking for "MORE" something.
