If the country has actually been experiencing an economic recovery for the last seven years,

why would 14% to 15% of all Americans be dependent on food stamps to survive?

When the economy is actually growing and employment is really below 5%, the percentage of Americans on food stamps is below 8%. If the government economic data was truthful, there would not be 43.5 million people living in 21.4 households (17% of all households) dependent on food stamps. More than 100 million Americans are now dependent on some form of federal welfare (not including Social Security or Medicare). If the economy came out of recession in the second half of 2009, why would 6 million more Americans need to go on welfare over the next two years? The Greater Depression - Part 1

Your Say

Why would 14-15 percent be dependent on food stamps to survive? It's because the Democrat Party wants it that way. That way it can maintain/increase its power. And with more power, take over more of the economy and also take away more of the freedoms we enjoy (or used to enjoy, anyway).

For sure these will come to pass if Trump is elected -- Democrats in Congress will do their best to block anything good (abetted by many of our GOP alleged allies), and liberal judges will more exuberantly dismantle the traditions of our American society. Our betters in the press will magically discover that the economy is in the toilet, homelessness is rampant (although many of those folks need institutionalization), unemployment is back up over 9 percent, crime is skyrocketing in the cities, and basic government-provided necessities will decrease (I'm talking police, fire, trash pickup, electricity, water, etc.) People (funded by leftists and globalists) will take to the streets to protest, demonstrate, and riot.

Sadly, though, all those folks who said they'd leave the country if Trump got elected won't go through with their promises.
