It's probably nothing...

Why Is the U.S. Air Force Dismantling Some of Its Stored A-10s?
As the A-10 continues to attack ISIS in the Middle East, it strains credulity that the Air Force would consider destroying the newer, upgraded A-10C. But culture is a strong, and even when faced with a threat like ISIS, the moral imperative to reduce the probability of Army soldier dying from lack of close air support is not enough to make the Air Force put American lives before its doctrine.

Your Say

Orders from the tyrant. Look to the WH for the command to dismantle A-10's. This aircraft is the most feared in the islambo world. Treason, anyone?

Fires are burning out of control all through the city, and the arsonists are broadcasting that they will do much, much more. Time to dismantle the fire department, says the mayor of Doomsville. That'll make us much safer...

Army/USMC Should be in charge of their own close air support aircraft, close air support not sexy enough for Air Force.

Is it possible the planes are being used as a source of spare parts to keep other planes flying?
