The Left will not let us lock up our loons.

In 1972 Geraldo Rivera exposed Willowbrook State School (an asylum) for terrible living conditions and abuse of patients

—since then the entire idea of locking up crazy people was deemed “abusive.” The ACLU has fought to make sure that the insane can’t be involuntarily put away. Civil Liberties—they have a point, but the result is a lot of homeless people wandering our inner cities who really should be institutionally cared for. GUNS DO KILL PEOPLE - THAT'S THE POINT - STREET CARNAGE

Your Say

It's commonly believed in California, even among normal people, that Ronald Reagan closed the state asyla during his term as governor, thereby flooding the streets with the afflicted.

In fact, as McInness points out, it was pressure from the Compassionate Left that forced his hand. Never forget.

Not just the homeless. Plenty of settled nuts too. Problem is, who is going to select the nuts to be institutionalized. I know I could do it, but I'm not sure I trust anyone else to not select me.

Probably the most productive thing {expose Willowbrook} that miserable asshole ever did in his entire pathetic career.

I've heard of the Street Carnage site, but don't remember reading an article there before. What a bunch of disturbed commenters on that item. Looks like several of them need to get back on their meds.

Geraldo is just a self-serving jerk. That he might've done some thing worthwhile once in a while doesn't forgive his overall asshattery. What a maroon.
