Andrew Jackson is a saint in my book. Except for the Democrat part. But, in it's early days, it was at least a viable attempt at an American party. Now, Old Hickory would bit schlap every Dem he meets. Twice.

I'm giving mixed reviews on Jackson. He did nice work on the banks.

If any of you have Indian blood(I'm half Mohawk) his stunt with the Cherokee doesn't sit well. here in upstate South Carolina and in Western North Carolina bringing up his name isn't conducive to healthy living. Not much fondness.

Couple years ago Gibson got a hold of a hickory tree ol' hick planted when he was but a lad, and it had been hit by lightning. They made some commemorative ol' hick Les Pauls and I wouldn't mind strappin one on permanently.

regarding harriet, who bitch this is?

So how about Bill Cosby? He brings new meaning to a media 'monkey pile'.

No? OK then, how about a current cultural icon? I nominate...
