The whole thing has always been a charade, always was and always will be.
American politics.
It can't stand on it's own, cause if revealed fully, everybody would reject it outright.
So it hides, and it lies, and it wears a variety of masks, to keep the low hanging fruit hoping.
They buy lottery tickets and they bet on ball games and they vote.
It's all they got, It's all they'll ever achieve.

After WWII, and at the request of the Mexican government, more than a million Mexican farm laborers (Braceros) were rounded up and sent back south of the border.
It was called "Operation Wetback". The workers helped the war effort because the Anglo farm workers were drafted. Everyone benefited.
But now the rising horde of illegals is flooding in for entirely different reasons. They are automatically registered to vote (preposterous, but true), even though it is illegal for non-citizens to vote. And they are immediately put on the dole, with cash EBT cards that are topped up monthly, Section 8 housing vouchers, food stamps, free medical care, etc., etc.
This is deliberately destroying our system. It is deliberate, there's no doubt.
President Reagan bemoaned the fact that 12% of Americans (one out of 8) were on the dole. He's spinning in his grave now, with half of everyone on the dole — and the dole is much more generous/lucrative today.
Now the biggest influx of illegals isn't from Mexico and Central America. It's African illegals. And of course, they gravitate to the local African American enclaves. They will quickly learn the tricks of the trade, and be taught whom to hate.
But the truly persecuted Christian minority in Syria and its neighbors are not welcome. Obama won't even meet with Christian representatives who want to save some of them from being slaughtered. Which is happening.
No, only Islamists are invited here. The Border Patrol bemoans the fact that they've been ordered to stand down — to promptly release all illegals found. Those illegals fan out across the country, living off hard working American taxpayers. Social agencies are not even allowed to ask their immigration status!
What do you think, folks? Did America elect the Manchurian Candidate? It sure looks like it!
