i've always counted my self lucky to have been a Hoover baby and, after we beat the depression and then beat the Nazis and Nippos, being able to relax and watch all this from a bemused afar.

The lesson is that everybody who lives that long becomes a geezer. No matter how bad or cool they were. He is definitely a geezer.
