I do empathize with the authors sentiment though. 40+ years since the last moonwalk a continuous downward spiral across the board ever since.
Everything has turned to trash before your very eyes and nothing is worth fighting for, except your own miserable life.
Collapse? It's been happening all along, for most of your life, and still.
