FAUX HATE
Nobody even questioned her claims. And it was all lies, from start to finish. She was the first fake hate crime victim I remember hearing about, although there had been plenty invented to demonize the south in the past. As if the lynchings and church burnings weren't bad enough, people invented more to make the civil rights struggles more dramatic and horrible, I suppose. I'm actually having a hard time remembering the last valid 'hate crime' even assuming the category has the slightest shred of credibility. Word Around the Net:

Hate crime is Thought crime.
The corollary would assume that a robber, rapist, murderer, thug otherwise commits love crime or are entirely indifferent.
So to prove innocence of a Hate crime/Thought crime, a criminal must demonstrate beyond a shadow of a doubt that they were at least ambivalent toward the person that they committed the crime against.
It's like nailing Jell-O to the wall, an empirically absurd exercise.

One gets rid of hate crimes via 'Jury nullification' which requires getting someone on the jury with a bit of common sense.
