"Being a good person begins with being a wise person." -- Scalia

“Movement is not necessarily progress. More important than your obligation to follow your conscience, or at least prior to it, is your obligation to form your conscience correctly.
Nobody — remember this — neither Hitler, nor Lenin, nor any despot you could name, ever came forward with a proposal that read, ‘Now, let’s create a really oppressive and evil society.’ Hitler said, ‘Let’s take the means necessary to restore our national pride and civic order.’ And Lenin said, ‘Let’s take the means necessary to assure a fair distribution of the goods of the world.’ “In short, it is your responsibility, men and women of the class of 2010, not just to be zealous in the pursuit of your ideals, but to be sure that your ideals are the right ones. That is perhaps the hardest part of being a good human being: Good intentions are not enough. Being a good person begins with being a wise person. Then, when you follow your conscience, will you be headed in the right direction.” —Excerpted from Justice Antonin Scalia’s commencement address at Langley High School, in Virginia, where his granddaughter was graduating in June of 2010. “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.” Matt. 7:24-27

I would support a candidate who convinced me that he would actually work to "restore our national pride and civic order".
He delivered on that promise, by the way, albeit at considerable cost to his country's liberal democratic traditions.

How did Scalia refrain from choking the shit out of the communists he shared office with?

Oh, that's right, he, like they, paid his bills with money that was stolen from other people.

Now that Scalia is dead will the amount stolen from you decrease?

Air Embolism ... Inject the victim with air and you can induce a heart attack. The method leaves less mark than a bee sting.

The motive is clear in that the Liberal Left implements their agenda via SCOTUS.

They ought to have their backs to the wall on this death. Their covert operators could have pulled a murder off without a sweat.

What crap! I sincerely believe in slavery. so that makes it OK? Well if you're a liberal perhaps that is so.

Scalia was a genuine intellectual, in the sense that he rigorously started from certain principals, and applied them honestly to cases which came before him. I never got the sense that he was engaging in ends based reasoning, where the desired outcome was decided first, and then the stated rationale was altered to fit the predetermined conclusion.
I suppose it goes without saying that I agreed with both his logic and his principals, and that I believe his passing is a true tragedy for the country.

No autopsy? George Patton after his death did not receive an autopsy either. When there is no autopsy after the death of a "player" in politics the death is most likely not natural. Congress must demand an immediate investigation. Oh, I forgot, they are no longer in business.

"Sincerity is not a test of truth. We must not make this mistake: He must be right; he's so sincere. Because, it is possible to be sincerely wrong. We can only judge truth by truth and sincerity by sincerity."
