Women have the same right that men do to be crushed to death in a coal-mining explosion.

Equality is for everyone, and that includes the right to get squashed like a bug by heavy machinery.
Why aren’t women afforded the right to be struck dead by falling objects? Didn’t Susan B. Anthony struggle nobly to make it possible for the sisterhood to drown overboard on Alaskan crabbing expeditions? Women have the same right that men do to be crushed to death in a coal-mining explosion. They deserve the freedom and dignity to be pulverized into tomato paste when their semi truck jackknifes around a mountain curve. - - Smashing Through the Glass Coffin

Your Say

Oh, girls want these jobs - they just want everybody to remember they're precious when it comes time to put it on the line. Men have enabled this bullshit for 40 years or better by helping 'em act like they're equals.

I've known plenty of women who were as strong as me, and a whole helluva lot who were meaner. Wanna be my equal? Step up, baby; here are the keys.

I have a cousin who drove semis for years between FL and the midwest. Married at the time with two or three youngish kids. About 25 years ago, she tried to take out an interstate overpass, about 30 miles from where I live as it happens. The overpass won, the truck was totaled and she almost died. When she recovered she went to school and became a practical nurse.

There are Europeans who...would make of men and women beings not only equal but alike. To both, they attribute the same functions equally, impose on them the same duties and grant them the same rights...It is easy to see that, in this ambition to make the one sex equal to the other, both are demeaned and that, from this crude mixing of nature’s works, will emerge weak men and immodest women.--

I saw plenty of women in hard job areas, just not in hard jobs. In 43 years of construction i saw a few women workers. But they were not Hod carriers, Framers, Bricklayers, Tin Benders and just a few Electricians and Plumbers. They were given the easy jobs, time demanding but not physically hard. The heavy work in the elements of snow and heat, climbing ladders, working on scaffolding and running in rafters Those jobs they didn't seem to want. Very few women i knew kept it up for very long.

"...grant them the same rights..."
===========

This is very common, and very wrong.

Rights cannot be granted, nor can they be revoked, they are inviolate.

Privileges can be granted, and revoked.

Similarly, the notion of *constitutional* rights. There is no such thing.

The constitution is about the duties and restrictions on the gov't.

Take for example the 2nd amend., the part where it says, "...the right of the people...", what right is it speaking of?

Why, the pre-existing right of course.

People have had the right to arm themselves any way they want from the beginning of time, and quite naturally.

The 2nd doesn't grant, nor guarantee anything at all.

It does however demand that the gov't shall NOT infringe on that natural right in any shape or form, and regardless of what the scotus says the right of the people to keep and bear arms is more infringed today than at any other time in american history.

Everyone involved with that violation is a criminal of the highest degree and needs to be incarcerated at hard labor for a period of no less than 10 years and forfeiture of all property.

The next time you hear some illiterate asswipe mention "constitutional rights" reach out and snatch his eyeballs out of the sockets for being so stupid.
