Why did Democrats stand back and allow Clinton to run unopposed?

How can a party be so inert, so uninspiring?
Why did Obama leave it in such a condition that it should offer up only the elderly woman who lost to him 8 years ago, offer her up as if she's so decidedly right that no one else should even compete? What deadness! Such deadness that a significantly more elderly man drops in and feels like the future. How could a party lapse into this predicament? - -Althouse

She started as a doormat and in spite of every opened door opened to her she continuously went downhill in a series of giant self made destructive leaps to where she is now at the very bottom of the short list of major unconvicted criminals and yet this is all they have to offer?

From the beginning, and still, I keep wondering why?

I suspect the times are such now, that the logical mind will never know, or even gain a hint.

Everything has some how gotten so far out of kilter that it's not even possible to make any sense out of it at all.

Let the pieces fall.

"How can a party be so inert, so uninspiring?"

Easy, one word to describe them suffices: Progressivism.

Trump? If something looks too good to be true it probably is.

I have a dreadful hunch, nothing I can explain or defend.

Hillary will somehow be our next POTUS.

Hillary is more dangerous than we give the Clinton Machine credit for.

People that go against that machine end up dead or with a case of leprosy.

And yet Red Bernie is leading Hillary in the polls. I guess that is the alternative that the Dems are offering to Hillary. Hard to say which one of them would be worse to have in office.

This "election" could be a giant sham. With what has transpired over the last seven years the Klinton clan could very well already have been "elected" and we paupers/slaves will find out in November. Possibly sooner.

The USA is no longer the greatest nation on earth. It is the greatest criminal run nation possibly. But not the greatest in any virtuous manner.

The election trend has been for all sorts of specialty exceptions to take place, absentee voters, hanging chads, this that and the other and then the supreme court steps in. The whining hasn't lessened, it has grown, so the catterwalling will be on the moon after mid Nov coming. It don't matter who the next prez is, the end is here.

The wheels on the bus have been out of balance for sometime and after the next election the lug nuts will start to fall off. By the state of the union in Jan 2017 US 101 will be littered with fenders, valve covers, seats, and human passenger bodies.

After the sotu the bus frame will warp and the new driver will push the pedal through the floor board. Thousands of bodies will be blown off the careening hulk and bystanders will gather along the road to watch and pick the carcasses clean. vultures.

Faster and faster the bus will roll on as long as it can gaining speed all the way.

By summer the journey will be over for that old bus but a new chapter will open and it's going to be like nothing you ever imagined. Many will not be here to witness and experience it.
