”With the exception of POTUS, the Atty General, both leading presidential candidates, the media, and universities, Americans love free speech.”

Calling Trump a fascist is a bit much
(fascism, as Tom Wolfe once reported, is forever descending upon the United States, but somehow it always lands on Europe), but movements like fascism and communism get their start because the mechanisms of liberal democracy seem weak and ineffectual and dishonest. If you don’t want Trump — or, perhaps, some post-Trump figure who really is a fascist — to dominate things, you need to stop being weak and ineffectual and dishonest.Glenn Reynolds: Liberals have chosen The Donald as their 'Destructor'

Your Say

"..., both leading presidential candidates,..." ??
What's the evidence that Trump [ a leading presidential candidate even though primaries have not yet occurred] does not love free speech?

Trump is more like a privateer, authorized by himself and his civilian constituents, to kick some serious butt without ifs, ands or buts.

Most people no longer have the wherewithal to outfit themselves with capital ships and go plinking in others harbors. Privateering might be a bit dangerous. A rather romantic and swashbuckling idea, say wot!

The Daily Caller article describes use of non-violent means of disrupting the enemy via authorized civilian individuals and groups [computer hackers, ...].
The group Anonymous is reportedly already involved in this effort.
The effects of the 700 privateers on our enemies during the Revolutionary and 1812 wars were more than simply romantic -- ask the owners of the vessels captured; ships and cargoes used therefrom by our revolutionaries.
