There's Life in the Old Bird Yet

wisdomegg.jpg

The world's oldest living tracked bird has been spotted back on American soil where she is expected to lay an egg at the ripe old age of 64.
Wisdom, a Laysan albatross, was seen at the Midway Atoll national wildlife refuge with a mate at the weekend following a year’s absence. She was first tagged in 1956 and has raised at least 36 chicks since then. - - Telegraph

Your Say

wow. 64 and she can still twist her head back like that. I can hardly reach my zipper and I'm younger by a year, or two.

Wisdom and her mate prove for all time that 'A bird in the hand is NOT worth two atoll.'
Proof? Check the chicks.

My uncle Louie "The Bantam King" worked with the International Birds Association to upgrade the genetic content of birds all over the world. Eugenics experts were part of the improvement teams.

He remarked that swans had the lowest DNA Karfuti index of any other birds. The higest are Bantam Chickens.

"Schwanen," he'd ask. "Not fit to carry a Bantam chicken's nest"

chas, I googled Karfuti index, and all the hits I got were in some Cyrillic-looking script, e.g. ბევრი ადამიანი დაუსაქმელი (job). ერთ - ერთი გამოსავალი სწრაფი ... Plus, you've been AWOL for some time. You haven't been training in some african or middle east country, have you?
