We have a collective illusion that you can’t kill an idea.

If you want to kill people, you need a military leader.

But if you’re trying to win a global mind game, call Tony Robbins, or someone with similar skills. We need to go at the idea directly. We have a collective illusion – because we hear it so often in the media – that you can’t kill an idea. But the truth is that you absolutely can kill an idea. You just need the right kind of killers. So far we haven’t tried. France | Scott Adams Blog

Your Say

Hogwash! Wars have always been about changing the enemy's mind.

People have completely forgotten how to think!

Casey is correct.
Make the penalty for holding such an idea unworthy.

Hell, it's only 10am and I have already done this once so far today. Nobody died.

The client's wife is driven by emotions and the shiney things she experiences in the glossy rags.

I explained to her and her bank vault husband that the cost of what she wanted was far more than the value it held, maybe as much as 10 times more, no matter the circumstance and somewhat reluctantly she folded.

Then she asked for a solution, and I gave her 3 and she was tickled.

It is called "the art of the deal", "the magic of compromise", and "how to win friends and influence people".

TRUE: "If you kill enough of them, they stop fighting".-Curtis Lemay

FALSE: If you got 'em by the balls their hearts and minds will follow.

Back in RVN days, we shoulda stopped their hearts and spread their brains too. Sigh, always too little too late.

Folks think we're playing touch football here.
