The Climate Change Mania

It never looks like hysteria when you are in the middle of it. It never feels like a mania when you are being consumed by righteous zealotry. It never looks or feels like a cult when you believe it to the depths of your soul. - - Had Enough Therapy

It never looks or feels like a cult when....you're a dickhead.

There's a comment under that article that says grant money is the reason this "climate change" story never dies. I agree with that. The idea that human emissions of a teeny-tiny little trace gas are the main "control knob" for the planet's temperature is ridiculous.

But when the feds shovel grant money at anyone who supports the story they want told, then naturally a lot of scientists will start head-nodding along. A billion bucks a year buys a lot of agreement.

I used to believe that all cops were honest, and that politicians would keep their promises, and that the truth will always prevail, and that judges could never be bought, and that the Constitution is sacred.

But now that I'm jaded I'll add 'honest government climate scientists' to the list, along with my former belief in Santa Claus.

We are being bombastically bombarded by now banal BS.
The new term, replacing climate change, will soon be "fatal flux fluctuations" resolvable by tucking one's head twixt one's buttocks and kissing one's ass goodbye. If there are at least two bussable people present, they may choose whose backside to kiss away.
Exceptions to this approach are allowed to those who courageously consider themselves to be half-assed -- as a redeeming admission of such condition would be showing a lot of cheek.
