Guy Fawkes: Needed Now More Than Ever

FawkesPoster.jpg

Remember, remember!
The fifth of November,
Gunpowder, treason, and plot;
There is no reason
Why the Gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot!’

What Americans, especially those under 60, do not know is that Fawkes was trying destroy Parliament because he wanted a Roman Catholic tyranny to take over, and end the power of Parliament to check monarchical power.

Fakes was an evil man.

Today, it is Parliament which is in charge.

Leftists are very unhappy because Labour got clobbered in the last election.

Free market liberals (what Americans call Conservatives) are unhappy because the "Conservative" party will tolerate the current socialist system that is destroying Britain, just as the socialist system in the US is destroying the US.

But, none of that changes what Fawkes was or sought to accomplish. He is not a hero and that movie was f****ed up.

One can say as well that OBL was honest about his intentions. Honesty is not a stand alone virtue.

What good is an honest thief?
Right.
Without honesty as a foundation nothing else matters.

Fat Man, the one thing to be taken away from Fawkes try is he failed. That is the sin!

VW: I strongly disagreed. If Fawkes had succeeded the development of republican government would have been severely disrupted. England could have become Spain with bad weather.

England is Pakistan with bad weather.
