The Trumpening

Polls indicate that Trump is going to be the Republican candidate, and going to win, going to be the next president. Jim's Blog

But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree; and he asked that he might die, saying, "It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am no better than my fathers."

There is only one poll that counts; that is the one taken next November.

Maybe Trump will be the instrument we're all looking for to "Literally eliminate the government as it stands and start fresh", as suggested a few postings down in this sidebar.

Trump is the catalyst. One thing his involvement shows is that with the Dems and GOPs we are beating a dead horse.

Rather Trump gets elected than a force like the Iron Legion takes over.

One thing I've learned in the Southern black culture is that they don't want a poor preacher, poor church, poor anything. They expect that the pastor will drive the best car, have the best house and will exhibit a "blessed" lifestyle. They also accept that there will be all sorts of graft between the collection plate and the counting room. They "get" the power structure, the winning ways of always winning. And they "get" Trump in a way that no Republican of self-respect can imitate. Hillary has tried it, Bill has tried it, Obama has achieved it but his sermons haven't bettered his congregation, his "stash" hasn't materialized for the poor folk in the political pews. And that whole gay marriage thing is troubling for many. And immigration. If Trump is pulling 25% black vote right now, it's from the South for sure. The GOP must be rethinking its strategy.
