Since the continental ice sheets melted and flooded the continental shelves only around 10,000 years ago, it would be astonishing if flood legends were not universal.

"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been two hundred
years.
These nations have progressed through this sequence:
From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to selfishness;
From selfishness to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependency back again into bondage."
Sir Alex Fraser Tyler: (1742-1813) Scottish jurist and historian

I am reminded of a country in Africa where the men have nasal hair two inches long.
The average age of a Bantam Chicken flock is three years, five months and seventeen days.

Silly people discussing such things as they are should be ignored or slapped across the face.
