Obama’s position on Syria has been so vague
that he can plausibly convince his followers that, whatever the result, it was what he intended to begin with. It’s pitiful to watch. | BelmontPosted by gerardvanderleun at September 24, 2015 8:28 PM. This is an entry on the sideblog of American Digest: Check it out.
Your Say
Richard Fernandez (Belmont Club) makes a reference to High Noon, which I have always agreed with. We are being called out, and there is no running.
When Crimea went down, I said that we should put the US Navy into the Black Sea. Now, Putin's Crimean navy plies the Med in support of Russia's war in Syria.
You have to ask yourself what in (literal) hell could Putin's win be in support of Assad? Assad better watch his sadass because nobody really has his win in mind. For Putin, just deploying is a win-win no matter what happens in Syria.
The best move for us would be for there to be, all-of-a-sudden, lots and lots of losses to Russian troops in Syria. No calling cards; no evidence. Just "Little Green Men" with prejudice. Game on.

Someone blames the US for Syria, Ukraine and Crimea in 1, 2, 3...

"We are being called out...."
=====================
Well, maybe YOU are, but I'm not.
I am however ALWAYS on "stand by".
I will never risk my life for this country again.
It's all a criminal exposition.

Well then, stand by, Ghostsniper, because Putin will essentially blow past Washington DC and that leaves the manhood of America as the next line of defense.
Let's see...invade Europe a little bit, check; deploy to the MidEast, check; cruise through the Med, check; flex into the Arctic, check; deploy the bombers worldwide, check. I wonder what's next?

"The Russian moves appear to be part of an deliberate plan prepared long in advance to bring the Western Alliance into an ambush zone. The most disturbing aspect of it is that president Obama didn’t even see it coming. Not even close. "
Good cop, bad cop.

"My legacy will be an America brought down to the level of the rest of the world." ~Obama
"When the Cambrian measures were forming, They promised perpetual peace.
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.
But when we disarmed They sold us and delivered us bound to our foe,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: "Stick to the Devil you know." ~Kipling
There is a fine line between incompetence and treason.
