I'm willing. But the BJs of the world and those who back them aren't willing to settle for living in peace. They refuse to be ignored. They demand that we publicly concur.

Say you go to work tomorrow and your co-worker Fred arrives in drag announces that he thinks he's a woman and now wants to be addressed as Cynthia. The new rules say that we're supposed to all pretend that he's a woman so as to "show respect" for his self-perceived gender, and Lord help you if you slip up and refer to him as "him" or "he" now and then. And you ladies mustn't run shrieking from the bathroom when he enters, or else.

Was it destiny?

No doubt. I saw on the Internet a picture of a person who had put 5 inch disks into holes in each cheek, pushing his skin down and creating a walrus-like visage. Another person was wearing those rings around her neck like I used to see in National Geographic.

When I was a kid, all an attention-starved kid had to do was smoke cigarettes or wear a hat. Now they're competing with the world for daddy's attention and comparing themselves to the photoshopped or costumed avatars of their online communities.

I suppose he could appear naked in public with a couple of folds of scar tissue arranged to look like a vulva. And yes, I do believe that he is crass enough to do it.

The suicide rate of people who mangle their bodies in this manner is much, much higher than for the general public, so it is not unlikely. Playboy has already had such a man in their pages already, years ago so that's always a possibility for publicity.
