America wouldn't make a good Communist country.

And -- to their credit -- liberals and Democrats won't make very good Bolsheviks either. You need a certain amount of grim determination and a large degree of physical toughness to pull it off. Insanity is not sufficient.
Just now there's a story about an NAACP chapter president who is actually white. Last week the news was about Caitlin Jenner. These are people who real Communists once called "useful fools". They're not players. They're cannon fodder. Material like that isn't the farm team for the vanguard of proletariat. It's a farm team for a freak show.
Many of the people in the academic left, perhaps even some who've reached high office, are really Fidel Castro wannabees without the talent. They should face the facts. If they want to be important, they should play the American game and emphasize growth, innovation, invention based on the base motivation of wanting a materially more prosperous life and/or an adherence to a moral code.
If they try to play the Bolshevik game, the Russians and the Chinese are always going to beat them at that. They have even less talent for being religious fanatics like ISIS. In a world of transgenders, transracials and transeverythings, the last thing the world needs is transauthoritarians. It's not only a losing game. It's ridiculous. Five Hundred | Belmont Club

Your Say

"America wouldn't make a good Communist country."
========================

Sure it would, maybe better than the motherland even.

I'm talking about the land itself, not the people.
The inhabitants would make good fertilizer, bettering the land further for the new owners.

Kill, shred, spread, irrigate, till, repeat, and in a few years it will be ready for planting....

For too many of us who should know better, too many pleasant distractions far outweighing the avalanche of doom rolling our way.
When, as a country, we wake up suffocating, our comments will be, "Huh? Wha?"
The deeper the snow job we accept the less likely we'll survive as a respectable civilization.
