But the latest trend is to act like cops are all horrible thugs and racist monsters, waiting for a chance to beat and kill blacks and that's idiotic and utterly false. And if Baltimore is wracked with racism, its certainly going to be a tough case to make that it was due to white people and Republicans. At least, honestly and factually. ghost: by "jackboots" do you mean Law Enforcement officers?
I am curious to hear about your personal experiences with cops, how they treated you so badly that you rattle off a knee-jerk response to anything referring to cops. You musta been screwed over real bad to carry that hate.

Chas: I have interacted with cops about 20-30 times in my life, some good, most bad. I've designed custom homes for 4, been arrested multiple times, did 3 days in the shitcan, hired 1, and fired him 2 weeks later, have needed the services of them a couple times and never got the results that were necessary, and went to school with a couple of them before they became cops, and in every instance one thing was clear immediately. Everyone one of them either had mental problems or pretended to.
I've known people with that sort of attitude that weren't cops, and they were assholes too.
Not only did they have shitty attitudes but everyone of them tended to be on the lower end of the intelligence scale too. In a casual situation I would quickly bore of their elementary views on life in general. IOW, they aren't very interesting, thus, they mainly associate with other cops like them.
Not long after moving here to Ruralville the town sheriff came by one day campaigning. He was dresses in civvies so I didn't recognize him right off. He introduced himself while we both stood on the bridge in front of our house and I told him he is just the guy I wanted to see, then I asked him where the closest shooting range was. He stepped back, looked to the left then the right and said, "Why, right here!" I asked, "You mean I can shoot guns right here on my own property?" He was incredulous and replied back, "Why not, it's YOUR property!" They're a little different here, but not much overall.
He and I got along, but we both knew very well where we each stood, and I continued my creed of avoiding him and all the others.
I have no use for any of them and deeply resent the notion that money is stolen from me to provide for their livelihood.
