I thought it was global cooling in the 70's?

There are strong arguments for the Earth actually losing weight. This article is one of many that describe several possible causes and concludes that specific elements leaving Earth’s atmosphere will cause weight loss.
If I were playing the stocks and commodity markets I would buy shares in helium companies or support research that would allow us to split an atom or two and create more of the stuff. As it is I monitor what parameters I can and have formulated lighter Earth/heavier Earth scenarios.

Climate change/GW hysterics are just the latest form of the end is near fear mongering lampooned over and over again in the New Yorker for more years than I care to remember. The only thing that's changed is the robed, sandwich boarded kooks treading the sidewalks have morphed into suited kooks with money, PhDs, tenure and such.

There has been NO global warming for almost twenty years now, according to satellite data — the most accurate data we have.

Why hasn't the "carbon" scare run its course? The answer, of course, is money. Mountains of taxpayer loot propping up the man-made global warming HOAX.
