Carly Fiorina is winning the Most Reagan Like contest. That's huge.

CarlyFiorina49416.jpeg

Politics is a field dominated by those who excel at communicating, and Fiorina is proving herself a powerful and effective communicator.
She does more than turn a nice phrase. (“Nothing makes me angrier than when people’s livelihoods are sacrificed on the altar of ideology.”) She packs more substance into fewer words than anyone else in the 2016 field. With this ability, Fiorina is selling herself as a competent manager and bold leader. She charmingly calls the administrative apparatus in Washington a “vast, bloated, incompetent bureaucracy.” To fix it, she would implement zero-based budgeting and pay for performance; tackle fraud, waste and abuse; and eliminate jobs of federal employees who retire. Your Say

I can almost get behind CF.

After the recent past of the presidential character theater, I am so pissed I am either wanting to eliminate the office altogether, or else willing only to vote for George Washington himself.

However, a not politician - that is a person from outside the beltway and outside of the gubmint structure, is an attractive thought.

I will be checking her stance on the constitution, gun rights, and military readiness. I already know she'll be good for the economy.

She's not especially conservative, but these days anything to the right of Elizabeth Warren looks like a founding father by contrast.

And she kicks the guts out of people saying "woman president!" and nothing else.

She can say what ever she wants. The Congress either goes along or she's at a dead end. Only if she can get a Reagan type landslide that will make Congress afraid to cross her will she be able to effect her ideas.
And she'll have only one year to do that, then the Critters are up for re-election.

Heard an interview with her a couple weeks ago on the radio.

Depressing.

She's not even very good at memorizing the prearranged script. The dems will mop the floor with her.

So she's going to double the rate of increase of US government spending per capita back to what they were under Reagan?
