I recall those days vividly and even then, in my opinion, that stuff was almost too gaudy to be believed. I drove an MGB.

We had the pea green station wagon - '65 Pontiac. Traded in a '58 Country Squire that had been a real money pit ever since the warranty ran out, which as I recall was about 90 days back then. Could never afford a RV.

I've still got one! 1979 Toyota Dolphin. There's still some shag carpet left in the cab.
