What’s old is new again.

Lately we get a new snuff film for each day of the week from a bunch of masked guys we don’t even want to name. The Odds Against | Belmont Club

James Fallows is a despicable piece of shit. Anything he writes should be immediately disregarded.

I remember listening to him on an NPR audio essay back in the 90's, in the run up to the first Iraq War. The one to kick Saddam's forces out of Kuwait.

Here was someone who during the Vietnam war became a conscientious objector so he could avoid the draft. Something he openly admitted. In his next breath he opines about how he wishes he could have been in combat. To have been forged in the crucible of combat. He felt that his objection to the impending war would have had more gravitas.

Here's a guy (I won't call him a man) who had his chance to be forged in the crucible of combat and who did everything within his power to avoid it.

Later, when he was beyond the reach of being called, he regretted not being in combat. What a pompous, pathetic little pig this piece of shit is. Nobody should take him seriously, ever. I have since tried to find that NPR piece, but it appears to have been scrubbed and sent down the memory hole.
