« "Take that in, O we of little faith, in our fey and emasculated culture." | Main | If the Jihadists captured Marie Harf, or John Stewart, »

“…we cannot win this war by killing them. We cannot kill our way out of this war.”

Harf does not even seem to understand what war is, and how wars are won.
But this isn’t about Harf, really. It is about the administration for which she is a spokesperson, and its attitudes and policies towards this war. Her remarks reflect a larger attitude on their part, which is that war is not an activity in which you kill them before they can kill you (or others), it is a metaphor. And that idea ties into the administration’s overemphasis on the power of words. neo-neocon| Marie Harf: on how to fight ISIS

Your Say

Tell this to von Clausewitz. He, who this day is turning over in his grave, tried to tell us how war is governed by the moral in man. He meant everything including and above the heart.

Wars have always been about ideology. I will begin right now, and easily write down 100 wars, naming their belligerents, and I will note the outcomes of the wars. I may get a few wrong, and yet I can do it simply from memory.

Can even one person at State name for me one shooting war with an outcome not decided by arms? Ahem. They think soldiers go to war for kicks, I guess.

And, we wonder why ISIS thinks it can win.

"Harf Truths and Whole Lies: Can political correctness defeat terrorism?" By James Taranto on Feb. 17, 2015

"As funny as it is, it also feels a bit unsporting to pick on Harf like this. After all, she’s just doing her job, which is to act as a mouthpiece for an administration whose guiding principle seems to be that political correctness—which is to say, a thoroughgoing dishonesty—is the best weapon for dealing with Islamic terrorism.

War is about killing people and blowing things up. What else would it be?

No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country. George S. Patton

I attended a State Department function in June of 2013, in Lancaster, with the writer of the blog Refugee Resettlement Watch. You should bookmark it because it is chock fulla jaw-dropping antics done by the State Department.

I am convinced that the State Department is staffed by girls and boys whose privileged lives have given them the sanctimonious qualities necessary to spew this insanity with utter, glassy-eyed sincerity.

These soft and spineless Quislings have no allegiances to country or to their own cities. Lancaster has become a dumping ground for the wretched, diseased and criminal-minded.

The State Dept. lunch was all about awarding the twinks with the most resettled refugees. They even made a movie depicting Americans as racist, xenophobic louts, as a way to educate the racist, xenophobic louts not to be racist, xenophobic louts.

The twinks absolutely believe in their cause of no borders, of flooding their country with all the wretched filth of the world...you know, to make it better.

I think we can make it better by informing the invaders of where the twinks live, and telling them that is where they can get all the money they want.

These twinks promise their poor pets money, housing, jobs, education, child-care, blah blah blah, but the intact African family forced to reside in the projects with African-American drug dealers and thugs is hardly free.

The Iraqi mohammedan finds a fertile hunting ground in the projects to rape the Nepalese 5-year old Buddhist infidel without interference.

The twinks who seem to be oblivious about the world they float above, happily dump Turks and Kurds together in Roanoke housing projects. Feel the lurv.

They don't get much in the way of government largesse, and as an interpreter for not a few of them, they have many regrets about winning the lottery.

They end up as the biggest losers. And so do we, because they can't assimilate, and there is enmity between cultures.

But the twinks live in their palatial burbs, far removed from the slums that all the government money can buy, and the twinks don't have to deal with the toddler who eats his weight in lead paint chips.
But that doesn't matter to the twinks. They pat themselves on the back and soldier on.

I think I told you guys years ago this would happen. The last two years of a two term prez, all his compadres and core team are gone. (In this case, the Usurper's still surrounded by the three leachettes: vaja, the wookie and ma-in-law. And the treasonous criminal attygen keeping him out of SuperMax.)

He's yesterday's news, and an Administration job at this point is for: a) dead-enders, time-servers who waited for everyone else to leave, and young'uns looking for a two-year hifalutin-sounding stint on the resume.

He's got nobody left that's loyal to him, and personally committed to making him a success. And he knows it, so he's also figmo now.

It's worse for him than most prezs, as he always hires mediocrities that won't overshadow him, which means he's getting D+ types now. Plus he makes a special effort to appoint very mediocre AA wyms, and puts 'em in positions for which they are not qualified.

Frick, in these parlous times, the fedgov is rudderless and on autopilot, and the captain's below getting shit-faced, his officers having left in the lifeboats, while the pirates are preparing to board on the ladders he put out. D*** these geldings and racists and commies that put him there.

Time to bring the troops home. We're gonna need 'em.

So where did she get her vast expertise? The War College? Military service academies? A distinguished military career? Longtime aide to senior career diplomats? Oh, she took a course. She studied the middle east back in college. Well that sure suffices for knowledge in today's dynamic middle eastern arena. Can you imagine what the men who carry knives think of this twink? Be afraid my friends, be very afraid.

Posted by: tripletap [TypeKey Profile Page] at February 18, 2015 7:19 AM

Chas, actually we don't need to bring the military back. Can you give me a reason why we should want them around? To help with martial law? Help Congress stay in office? Shield the mulatto from his just desserts?

Nah, We have the Nat Guard here. Now he might try to nationalize them. How many Governors will go along. And those that do, can they rely on the troops to obey?

When one shreds respect for the law, don't expect others to respect it either.

Harf would be absolutely stunning as an Isis "wife" and sometimes I honestly think I'd like to see her in that role.

"I think we can make it better by informing the invaders of where the twinks live..."

Mother, you have the winning answer. Twinks are despicable NIMBY's who foist their pet projects on everyone else.

VW: I only thought of using them to seal the borders. I'm not sure we could do that with the NG troops.

Thank God that General George Patton never 'fell into the trap' and use violence against Nazism. Whew..cause that would've been bad.
