“Violence has no place in civilized society!”

Except that violence is already an integral part of society, civilized or otherwise.
In his essay “Violence Is Golden”, author Jack Donovan outlines how we have collectively handed over the authority to use aggressive force to the agents of the state. Every police officer is authorized to use violence against you if you don’t follow the law. This is the thread that holds the tapestry of society together. You can sleep at night secure in the knowledge that if some criminal tries to enter your house and do violent things to you, you can call an armed band of state sponsored strong-men to do violence to that criminal, in your name. If you pay taxes, you pay men and women to enforce Order through the use of violence, when it’s necessary. People are quite content with this deal, until they are on the receiving end of it. -- Unchaining The Titan.

Your Say

I am no stranger to violence. I have hurt others and taken lives to protect myself and those close to me.
I am prepared to do it again if necessary.

My clan does not play. When they like you they stare at you with cold, mean, dead expressions. When they don't like you they just get up and leave without saying a word. Very dpjk.
That’s Don’t Play, Just Kill.

Someone trying to enter you home and hurt you. Call the police? They will stop it? I don't think so. If they even get there it will be minutes if not hours and the damage will already have been done. Get a gun, better still, several guns of varying types - disperse them about your house and blow the bastard away yourself. End of story.

My place is a gun free zone. In fact there is a small sign so stating that. There is another sign next to that one saying, "This means you, not me."

My kinda people right there.
I take the stance, cause I'm getting old and not as nimble as I once was, of making it difficult for a thug to get to me in the first place. From the road, he must come downhill on a long gravel drive, then cross on foot a wooden bridge, then walk across 30' of deck before he gets to my front door. On all of those things he is making noise with his feet that can be heard a long ways off. All of that stuff is over seen by 2 gun stages on the 2nd floor. The other 350 degrees around the compound are inaccessible except at great distances on foot and very dangerous at night. If you do get me or mine you have earned it.

The *law* has no say in any of this. We live under a higher authority out here in the hinterlandia.
