The Writer for the Atlantic's

“What Isis really wants” by Graeme Wood. He says what I have been saying, that

  • The Islamic state is Islamic, not some perversion of Islam;
  • They engage in mass killings of Muslims and non-Muslims as a policy to rid the world of apostates and disbelievers;
  • Muslims are killed for such things as voting for secular governments, or wearing western clothes;
  • They believe in the strictest possible application of the whole of Shari’a;
  • The Islamic state has not distorted the sacred texts of Islam; it has enacted them;
  • Slavery and crucifixion are embraced without apology, as ordained by Islamic law;
  • With the establishment of the Caliphate, Islam is now justified in waging aggressive war to expand its territories.

This is a very good article that more should read. From my study of Islam and understanding of IS, its very dead on accurate.

Graeme Wood's article fails to spell out how to defeat ISIS and it's political-religious driving force.

Mohammed's brilliant and successfulsystem of: worldly rewards for Islam-adherence, namely, war booty, rape, and slaves, and other-worldly rewards in Paradise, AND assurances of perpetual torture (adhab-al-qabar)for those who do not pursue jihad in a diligent manner according to their abilities, all as ordered by God, is unsurpassed by any leader or follower since his time. ISIS is 'merely' a Mohammed wanna-be, simultaneously frightening others and fearful of failing God's commands thereby suffering endless suffering.

Our actions should fit their crimes ('their crimes' from our viewpoint).

Maybe Harf can get them a job in a Japanese Hibachi joint. Preferably in Chad.
