This Strange Earth

aballspyramid.jpg
The Ball’s Pyramid is an erosional remnant of a shield volcano and caldera
that formed about 7 million years ago, according to potassium-argon dating. It has a height of 562 meters (1,844 ft), a length of 1,100 meters (3,600 ft) and width of 300 meters (980 ft). The pyramid is made up of horizontally-bedded basalt lava flows, which came from a volcanic plug formed in a former volcano vent. Basalt, a common rock formed from the Earth’s molten mantle, can be found also on the Earth’s Moon, Mars, Venus, and the asteroid Vesta. Climbing over Ball’s Pyramid surely sounds like roaming around the moon and other planets’ surfaces minus the space suit, the gravitational pull and other factors.

Your Say

Is that the one that attacked the Titanic?

This so-called "pyramid" does not have the numbers. Remember the monolith in 2001 Space Odyssey? Clues to our intelligence as expressed in mathematics were dimensions of: one, four, nine, being 1 and 2 and 3 squared. Clever, uh? So it is with any real pyramid.

PYRAMID INCH

The passage I am seeking is Isaiah 19:19-20. It is a pivotal quote in the first volume of a four volume set on pyramidology that I bought in San Francisco for sixty bucks, but the author has written the passage in its original Hebrew, fully aware that the reader will have to refer to the Bible to find out what is said. The only thing else he lets you know about the passage is that it contains 30 words and 124 Hebrew letters, and that when the numerical value of these ancient words is added up by a process known as Gematria the sum total of the passage equals 5,449, which is the height of the Great Pyramid in pyramid inches.

The pyramid inch is a unit so close to our own inch (25 pyramid inches = 25.0265 of our inches) that I will henceforth refer to these units simply as inches. 5449 is also the weight of the pyramid in tons times a hundred.

Comparisons continue ad infinitum. Compressed within the scope and accuracy of the Great Pyramid’s angles and proportions seem to be all the formulae and distances pertinent to our Solar System.

Why I'll bet they teach this in every Common Core course requirement for the up and coming mental giants of public education.

Enter any college campi and impose such mundane mathematical principles such a square, cube, power of, roots or even ask them if 10 &10% is the same as a 20% discount and you'll cause their eyes to cross.

Most of them have a problem understanding why they have different genitals.

Of course I should add that you are using a forbidden word: Bible. That alone invalidates your whole argument.

forehead smack Of course, how insensitive of me. I guess also, since I mentioned pyramids I must be a racist.

This doesn't shock me any more. One has to realize that the teachers are coming up through the SAME educational system. There has to be slippage each year. Idiocracy is coming.

The average college freshman reads at 7th grade level.

Most college textbooks and reading material written before 1970 require mature reading skills according to Arkansas Prof. Emerita Sandra Stotsky.

Seems to me that that thing is simply giving all the rest of us a sharp and rough finger. Up yours!, from Planet Earth.
