No Lawfare = Warfare

Terrorism uses obfuscation to defuse lawfare knowing that the West will not turn to the alternative form of warfare.

The danger of course is that a “pitiful, helpless giant” sooner or later loses the the legitimacy to govern. A sufficiently enraged public will demand something more than impotence. Collective punishment is what happens when individual justice is seen to fail. When lawfare collapses then warfare eventually ensues, a point which I made in the Three Conjectures. Maybe not immediately, but inevitably, with all the tragedy that implies.
It is therefore in the public interest to create effective methods of retaliation between the extremes of Mirandizing terrorists and implementing the “nine familial exterminations” of ancient China. A form of conflict which requires more information than warfare but less than lawfare. In order to avoid the horrors of war The King’s Justice cannot afford to be seen as totally impotent. The best way to forestall private revenge is for the King to act against those who would disturb his realm, if not strictly according to the law then at least in the spirit of justice.
If the Obama administration simply stands impotently to one side as American firms are hacked, sooner or later someone will revenge himself on the usual suspects. That is human nature. Every king worth his throne must defend his subjects or they will defend themselves.

Your Say

Maybe it's just me on a Monday morning, but I had a helluva time wading through that, and still not sure what the guy is aiming at. Of course I could read the link.

The French Revolution is a fairly recent example of a people who could "take it no longer". In the current U S of A the lawless ones are at the bottom and the top. The middle, you and me, are being squeezed by these criminals and sooner or later the lit fuse will ignite the bomb.

We are the law abiders at our own loss. We are essentially surrounded by criminals, politicians and racists who are in control of the entire nation top to bottom.

In time the entire gov't structure, if it doesn't collapse first, will become irrelevant. Already the police are not in place to protect you, then what are they for? If you encounter a thug of any stripe it is up to you to protect yourself. Then why are you taxed heavily for a police force? Hardly anyone in gov't is responsible for anything, so employee infractions are ignored, at your peril.

People will start realizing this, the ones that have not so far, and move to their own rhythm to survive, and flourish. The gov't will continue to dig it's own grave, especially financially so that by the time it collapses the people won't be pulled under with it.

Better figure out how to do it by yourself cause that's all you got.

Q: What are they [the govt people] for?
A: The law-abiding and productive people give them jobs to tell the law-abiding what to do and how to behave, so that govt people have jobs and won't be poor and useless and cause trouble.

For instance. There was talk about how tne next frontier in consumer product regulation is ... Christmas lights. Because we have all these offices and bureaus of regulation producers sitting around, and they have very little to do once industries have digested and incorporated and complied with the previous set of new regulations. And we a Well, we can't just lay them off! So they have to keep producing new laws and regulations.

It's Bastiat's broken window fallacy. Ever-coming new regulations keeps everybody employed and productive and peaceful.

Q: What are they [the govt people] for?

A: The only time I have ever had any dealings with the gov't is when I absolutely had to. One of those times will occur in a couple weeks when I have to go to the DMV to renew my drivers license. Other then their required mandates I have no use for any of it. It could all vanish today and there would be a little bit of downtime but in 6 months to a year everything would be functioning better than it ever has. Added all up, the current gov't structure in the US, from local to federal, is the most expensive thing in world history, and hasn't the value of .0001% of the cost.

Go into any Federal office where you're going to have to interact with some person and look at the racial makeup of the office staff. Look at how many of them are actually working. How many do you think produce work say, 85% of the time?

I've seen individuals, who are purported to be typists, with fingernails so long, they can't touch the keys. Beautifully decorated nails, probably cost a couple of bucks a week to maintain them, but work with them? Are you kidding?

If the Federal workforce was privatized, unemployment would skyrocket as they jettisoned the excess and prostitution would become bigger than GM and IBM combined. But at least they would be working.

We've been spoon-feeding and feather-pillowing the politicians and the thugs for too long. Time for some heavy manners.

I'll cast my vote for the Nine Familial Exterminations:
The punishment by nine exterminations is usually associated with the tyrannical rulers throughout Chinese history ... Typically associated with offenses such as treason, the punishment involved the execution of all relatives of an individual, which were categorized into nine groups.

@VW, HA! That's been a common joke with myself and a couple business associates for many years. We have to deal with the building dept frequently and the place is inundated with enormous female negro's with "3" purple fingernails" that type with the pads of their fingers. When they try to type those Strap numbers and legal descriptions you have to go sit down cause with all the typos's their going to be at it for awhile.
