"Believed that..." Exact Cause Remains a Puzzlement

Most Dangerous Cities In The World New Orleans is the first American city to make it onto the list of the most dangerous cities in the world. There were a reported 93 homicides per 343,829 inhabitants. It is believed that many of the deaths are due to a high rate of gun crime, as well as gang warfare and drug lords.

Your Say

It is believed that many of the deaths are due to a high rate of gun crime, as well as gang warfare and drug lords.

And Negroes. Let's don't forget Negroes.

"... due to a high rate of gun crime ..."

That phrase was structured to convey an anti-gun message. Even "... gang warfare and drug lords ..." avoids the forbidden word "Blacks" and makes no mention of the people wielding the guns and running around shooting each other.

Word association: guns—gangs—drugs. The implication is that if we get rid of guns the other things will go away.

The New Orleans folks need an application of heavy manners.

"An armed society is a polite society ..."

Never will they note that the problem of gangs, guns, sex, drugs and rock & roll seem to occur in Democrat run locations of strong liberal persuasion.

Chas is right. What kind of dumbass is gonna walk up and talk shit to a person that is openly carrying?

Right.

Now if everybody thinks everybody else is secretly carrying just think how polite everyone will be. I imagine a lot of people would stay home more often and nobody would have to wait 30 minutes to get seated at Outback.

There's a reason for "More Guns, Less Crime".

I work in the poorest part of Houston, and when Katrina hit they were all worried about how bad the refugees from New Orleans would be.

They were right. For about two years there would be articles about another Katrina refuge stabbing someone to death for no real reason.

After a while all those stabbings must have cleaned out a bunch of them.

You state: There were a reported 93 homicides per 343,829 inhabitants which is 27 per 100,000. Business Insider says New Orleans has a rate of 56 per 100,000. http://www.businessinsider.com/the-most-violent-cities-in-the-world-2013-11?op=1

Business Insider's rankings for homicide rates include:
#1 San Pedro, Honduras is 169 per 100,000
#2 Acapulco, Mexico is 142 per 100,000 (A surprise to me)
#17 New Orleans is 56 per 100,000
#21 Detroit is 54 per 100,000

For comparison, here are the rates for two Canadian cities:
Toronto is 2 per 100,000 (2012)
Vancouver is 1 per 100,000 (2013)

Look at eh homicide rate for Vermont which has less than 1% black population. They had about 1 murder per 100,000 population in 2012.

How many darkly complected individuals per 100,000 are there in Toronto and Vancouver?

Posted by: Vermont Woodchuck [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 5, 2015 3:17 PM

Vermont, they were stabbing perfectly good Texans. Well, other ghetto blacks anyway, but the point was that our ghetto blacks were concerned about NOLA ghetto blacks.

I took it as a warning, like the animals hiding before a winter storm.

I live in Richmond BC where the Vancouver airport is located. Demographics are: 50% Chinese, 30% south Asian, and 30% Caucasian. Statistically speaking, there are zero black and middle-eastern people. I remember seeing a black woman a couple of weeks ago.

I will add that there is zero graffiti and I mean zero. If there are any homeless people they are not on the street. Street litter is almost non-existent.

Toronto has many more blacks than Vancouver but not many by American standards. The increased homicide rate in Toronto over Vancouver's is a result of the increased homicide rate among the black population.

@ Ray, Vermont doesn't have the homicide rate simply because the of numbers. If you are going to count the number of murders, stabbings, blow jobs or anything by 100,000 in Vermont, the absolute number has to be 6. There is only 620,000 people in the State. Only Wyoming has fewer.

Now if you want to talk about drug usage, Vermont supports Columbia's GDP all by it's lonesome. Perfect proof of the efficacy of a Progressive political system. Big Nose Shumlin, his Poobah of Montpeculiar, devoted the entire State of the State speech to this last year. It is bad.

Supposedly there are 8 negro's in the whole county but I've never seen them and that doesn't bother me at all. Same with the orientals and hispanics. Went to the big city couple months ago and saw a negro on the sidewalk as I drove by, he was like a museum piece, and I gawked like I never seen one before.
