No way to delay that trouble coming every day:

A plain-clothes California Highway Patrol detective, who had been marching with anti-police demonstrators,
aims his gun at protesters after some in the crowd identified him and his partner during an arrest in Oakland, California, December 10, 2014. Chief Avery Browne, commander of the California Highway Patrol's Golden Gate Division, said two plainclothes CHP detectives were surrounded by up to 50 demonstrators who ignored orders to back off, despite one of the officers first taking out his baton and identifying himself as police.

That's the way the Sovs did it. Any public gathering place, any public gathering, any town, there would be single men, casually well-dressed, with jackets, sort of lounging about, not doing much, just watching, sort of pleasantly smiling. It was obvious enough that I had to ask my local companions. Police, they said. Oh, right. Da.

In old-times America, our police would be in uniform. Just out and about, keeping the peace, saying hi to the folks. Wearing the uniform is a demonstration of loyalty to the people.

That's the difference there. Wearing the uniform is loyalty ... and trust. Two-way trust.

Plainclothes police ... tools of the tyrant.

That picture is as old as "civilization". One of the King's Men, with the same expression reaching back ten thousand years, threatening mortal violence to the disarmed serfs. You don't get it, do you? It doesn't matter that this time the perp might actually be a scumbag. Men are not angels, and some day that man will gladly serve the Tyrant. If we give well-intentioned men the powers that a tyrant needs, we will get tyrants. "I don't think I'll let you arrest us today, Behan."

And whose to say he actually is disarmed? A black in the 'hood? Not carrying? That makes somebody's nose grow.

That's California. The people are disarmed. The police can murder you with impunity, anywhere, anytime. You cannot shoot an intruder in your house, because he's a valued member of the FSA, a customer of the State, and you're not. You will be vigorously prosecuted, pour encourager les autres.

Perhaps the decent people of California are disarmed, but the criminals are not, count on it. So the cops can murder you or the criminals can murder you, take your pick. I don't know about you, but I'd consider a move to a Castle Law state.

...I don't know about you, but I'd consider a move to a Castle Law state.

And right quick while it's still allowed. And to think that this all started with, "Please dial one for English..".

Yup.

John: The police can murder you with impunity, anywhere, anytime.

“Nobody owns life, but anyone who can pick up a frying pan owns death.” WSB

"The people are disarmed" is the operative concept here, not who can kill you.
