If you sense a spiritual vacuum in life,
if you sense a secular, or an empty survival-oriented or self-oriented attitude towards life, then you can try believing first.Willing suspension of disbelief. Give it a chance. Then see what happens. There is nothing to lose, and maybe a fresh new existence in a new world, a new reality, to gain. A rebirth, as they say. You can't think your way into it. If it does nothing, you can quit it anytime. If the baby in the manger is not ripe to be born in your heart today, you can wait as long as you want to. This kind of pregnancy can take many years, or never.Tim Keller, Advent, etc. - Maggie's Farm

Your Say
Everyone has to believe in something. It's morning, I believe I'll have more coffee. As for anything else, it is still early.

If you don't believe in God, you believe in man.
God is much kinder.

People obsessed with the purpose of man, in all its various iterations, end up going nuts or ODing on something. Me, I just take it as it comes. Believe what I see. Take everything else under consideration. Always have, always will. It's worked for 83 years.

"Willing suspension of disbelief."
Yeah, the cynicism and overly knowing jaded mentality of modern man has grown wearying to me. The need to have everything proved and described in scientific terms, crunching it all down to comfortably clinical and easily identified boxes is just foolishness and arrogance.

People of Faith have a logical idea of what Life is all about.
Atheists and agnostics vibe: fear.
Christians vibe: Faith.
