[Bumped] So here are the new rules of our non-functioning democracy:

you get a voice if you cast a ballot, butt you get a LOUDER voice if you don’t bother to vote.
“To everyone that voted, I want you to know that I heard you,” Obama began. “To two-thirds of voters that chose not to participate in the process yesterday, I hear you, too.” Odd he would choose to channel an old dead white guy – the only other sitting President who listened to the vast silent majority. Although in Nixon’s case they became far less silent over time.
Michelle Obama's Mirror: “I stand with those who sat on the sidelines and did not vote.”

Here's the data.
Over HERE is the "invisible, unrealized, computer generated" data.
Oooo..look, squirrel!

So now the Emperor has New Voters whose material, colors and patterns exactly match his New Clothes.

Priceless.

Dog whistle. When the 1994 mid-term "earthquake" happened, The Nation asked why the country should be run by what was decided by the opinions of only 1/5 of the American people.

Obama and his ilk don't give a shit what the people who gave a shit think.

Keep in mind folks, that this is no small matter. When the MSM goes after Congress, and do a series of opinion polls, they're going to be asking a wider range of people than just those who voted.

This is where Republicans were baffled after '94. They didn't understand what was wrong with "the public" in its complaints after a portion of said public had voted for the GOP in a wave. They weren't just hearing from people who voted, but also fence-sitters, especially on the Democrat side since many of those folks decided not to vote in '94.

Now is the time for the GOP to go deaf. They have two years. Make the most of them. Results will count.

They might even get enough scared Donks to reach a veto proof Senate on some bills.

The wishful thinking is deafening.
It's as if they were born.....today!

“To two-thirds of voters that chose not to participate in the process yesterday, I hear you, too.”

Get that? The people who did not speak are "heard" nonetheless. But let that go. What seems to have escaped the president is that there were more people who didn't vote for Democrats than who didn't vote for Republicans.

So the Democrats lost the votes and the non-votes.

Obama, in this as in so many things, just doesn't get it.

But this illustrates too the lala land he lives in inside his own head. Who did he think he was speaking to? He thought he was speaking to the natural, inherent Democrat-Leftist constituency who stayed home because Obama had not leaned left hard enough. He sees their non-voting a protest that he hasn't been Marxist enough!

Get ready for two years of a neo-Marxist, full-bore socialist offensive.

I think people are overstating this. President Obama was just trying to wink at his base and make sure they all knew he wasn't going to do anything differently. He had to make the "oh, I'm listening to the American people" gesture, but not in a way that made anyone believe him.

The next two years will not be good years. There is still a shadow government with power and influence. Unseen minions in appointed positions and money/power brokers.

Nothing short of a purge will get rid of the rot.

I am a sixty year old veteran. The son of a WW2 veteran. With a son who is a veteran.

I did not vote and I do not feel that I have shirked some great privilege or civic duty.

Instead, I am continuing to prepare for civil war in the United States. At sixty.

The sack of turds in the black house is going to allow this country to be swamped by illegals and the GOP will do nothing because their masters want the cheap labor.

The first thing out of McConnell's mouth after the election was to talk about how 'congress can only do so much' because of the constitutional division of powers. He is already hedging.

May they all hang.

That is the real math behind the big picture of "non-voters." The GOP needs to find effective and highly-visible ways to make that point.
