Shoppers Loot Candle Store For Being Closed On Thanksgiving

Best Buy employee Tom Hitchins witnessed the destruction:

“It was crazy. First one person started started smashing windows, then a second, then a third. before I knew it, hundreds of people were running around the parking lot with candles over their head like they had just won the lottery.

The problem is, of course, that like all skillful satire, this is practically indistinguishable from real-life credibility.

It also may confuse some readers that the Daily Currant is similar in title to the Hartford Currant, which is a very legitimate newspaper.

Oh ... Uh ... really? This isn't a genuine news article? Here I thought there were scores of peace-love-groovies and Rainbow persons gathering candles to use in a Pray for the Planet demonstration to enhance our Global Village.
I was gonna wear my tie-dyed John Lennon shirt and sing Kumbaya with all the beautiful folks.

I was also going to criticize the Candle Shop for being such military-industrial-racist-White-money hungry pigs that they are. They should give the candles away for free.
I remember Abbie Hoffman said "Free makes Freedom".
That goes for our little Black brothers and sisters too, so they can have a decent life in their quaint little neighborhoods.
