It's almost as if the people that are poorer, more violent, less cooperative, less future-oriented, etc. are less concerned about their condition than those that are not these things. /sarc

It's not a race thing. Children adopted by stable middle-class parents that engage in beneficial behavior do better than children surrounded by like-minded self-destructive people. It doesn't matter if those benighted people are black or white. Look at Scotland, which was the poor white trash of the UK, same behavior same results. Look at regions of The South in the US.

Bring back The Victorian Age. People of all walks understood if you fake it until you make it you and your family will benefit. It was a virtuous cycle of imitating successful models to the benefit of society.
