The politicians are drawn from the well of the voting populace, thus, the populace gets the politicians it deserves.

Notice the last part of that sentence is lacking the word *voting*.

Politician actions should only effect those that vote.

If this was true I suspect the american political landscape would not resemble that of today.

If we total up all the money spent since the FDR Presidency, on just National elections and step back and look at what in hell we have for all that money spent, I think saving the money and trying the next 4 to 8 years without a government would be an improvement.

535 Congress critters plus one fool in the White House would have to find gainful employment. All those staffers would have to move back home to Mom's basement. Lobbyists would have to back to work in hardware stores where they might do some good.

The Secret Service can go off whoring without worrying about someone complaining. Kids can go back to eating lunches they like.
