"Animal Liberation" was the title of a book by Peter Singer that pretty much started the "Animal Rights" movement. You know, the guy who wants to kill inconvenient toddlers and old people?

Animal liberation and rights are not about elevating animals to our level, but, rather, lowering humans to the same level as other animals, with all the attendant implications of how animals are treated and treat each other by the ruthless rules of nature.
